15 minutes by car from Malaga International Airport and well served by public Transport. Benalmadena has good bus services, trains to Malaga and along the coast, Taxis are plentiful and car hire readily available.
The beach is long with a mountain backdrop of the Mijas Hills. Midway between Malaga and Fuengirola, Benalmadena is divided into three main parts, Benalmadena Pueblo, Benalmadena Costa and Arroyo de la Miel.
This is a wonderful place for those who love the out doors. There is horse riding, walking along the many hill tracks behind the old village, a number of dive centres, some with training pools, a yachting marina, water Skiing and so much more

The original heart of Benalmadena is a typical Andaluz village in the foothills of the mountains which sweep down to the shore. The narrow, flower-filled streets hold evidence of the former civilizations which used to exist in this area.

The yachting marina, Benalmadena is home to some pretty large sailing and power boats. Yacht charter is available and fishing trips can be arranged. Horse racing at the Hipodromo del Costa del Sol is a fun outing for the family only 15 minutes from Benalmadena. Other attractions include Tivoli World, The Casino at Torrequebrada, Sea Life, Golf and of course every water sport imaginable.
