The cottage has a Living / dining room with log stove, terracotta floors, Alpujarra rugs, TV, DVD, CD player, and lots of good books. The large terrace area has a barbecue and there is also a charming flower filled inner patio. The large terrace overlooks the olive and lemon groves and beyond to the mountains of the Sierra Nevada.
The bathroom is modern and fitted with shower, wash basin, bidet, W.C. heated towel rail and infra red heater.
The kitchen is well organized and equipped for modern living with gas cooker, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave and fridge freezer plus all the utensils you will need to enjoy cooking the wonderful local produce.
There is also a table and chairs in the kitchen.
The enchanting swimming pool is filled with mountain water and is chemical free - swim against a backdrop of the snow covered mountain peaks in the spring time or find shade under an olive tree in the gardens in summer. There are two fishponds in the garden which attract lots of bird life. Swallows, followed by the bee-eaters and Hoopoes dipping over the terrace. Eagles and other birds of prey come down from the mountains. For walkers there are wonderful walks from your door through the surrounding groves and to the mountains beyond.
Orgiva is well situated for many of the attractions in the area - in particular the Alhambra and the City of Granada are an easy visit whilst the Coastal villages of the Costa tropical with their long unspoiled beaches are only 20 minutes drive. If you are looking to make the cottage a base for an activity holiday - the area offers much including horse riding, hang gliding, rock climbing, hill walking and of course ski ing. There is Golf in Granada and at the Coast in Motril and trout fishing at the nearby Beznar reservoir. You will need to bring a UK fishing licence from your local post office to obtain a permit to fish.
