Castell de Ferro is at the Eastern end of the Costa Tropical - the area is largely un discovered by foreign tourists but popular with Spanish visitors during August.
Motril
Calahonda is a charming little corner of the Costa Tropical - where you will be able to immerse your self in the Spanish way of life.

Motril is the second largest town in Granada province and the beach here is long and flat. It runs from the Golf course at the Eastern end to the substantial sea port at the west - a distance of about 4 kilometers. very popular for kite ski-ing and many other water sports in summer.
Salobreña is a fairly up market Spanish Coastal Town with a long beach and excellent promenade. There are lots of good restaurants and in July and August the beach is fairly busy with mainly Spanish visitors. Salobreña is well known and liked by the Spanish from Madrid, Granada and Jaen.
In recent times a number of foreign nationals from northen Euarope have chosen this area for retirement - therefore many amenities now available such as English and German newspapers plus the supermarkets cater for foreign tastes.
La Herradura is becoming a popular holiday resort all year round with foreign nationals - in particular Britsh and German so the town caters well for these tastes. Small and fairly sophisticated La Herradura is a good water sports center. There are a number of dive schools and hang gliding over the bay is very popular.
The Sierra Tejeda Natural Park has awonderful coast line with many little coves - it is easy to find a cove of your own for most of the year
