La Cala de Mijas, lies on the Costa del Sol in Spain approximately 25 minutes drive west from Malaga International Airport. The long beaches are well cared for, clean and soft golden sand.
La Cala has maintained a level of the real Spain but has also taken on, in a small way, something of an international flavour.

There are a few delightful chiringuitos (beach bars) - some are open all year round. In addition a couple of rather nice cafes to sit and watch daily life unfold.
La Cala has been allowed to grow - but carefully.
There are some delightful living areas which are occupied throughout the year, the town council have been certain to keep the heart and soul of the village alive.
