Overlooking the "ancient ayuntamiento building" (town hall) which is now Salobrena city museum this beautiful village house is unique in its character and design. Recently acquired and refurbished by an English architect, the property is simply charming
A principal feature is the private swimming pool which is located in an inner courtyard on the first floor of the house. From the swimming pool, accessed via an open staircase, is the very spacious roof terrace. The terrace is geared up for al fresco dining and is well equipped with sun loungers.
The splendid views from here are across the Guadalfeo Vega to Motril Golf Course, the Sierra Nevada Mountains and to the Mediterranean Sea.
The house can be rented as a one bedroom property, a three bedroom property or in its entirety - see the prices page for details.
There are four double bedrooms in total, one of these is en suite plus there are 2 further family bathrooms.
There are two lounge areas and also two modern, well furnished kitchens.
The house sits just below the old Moorish castle of Salobrena in the historical center of the "Casco Antigua" and next to the 16th century church. This church "Nuestra Señora del Rosario" has been at the heart of village life here for hundreds of years, remaining so to this day. All fiesta processions begin and end at the Church - so book early for fiesta dates if you would like a grandstand view.
There are some good restaurants close by but worthy of particular mention is Bar Pesetas only 2 minutes stroll. It is a typically Spanish restaurant with both indoor and outdoor eating areas - the views from the roof terrace must be experienced.
A car is not essential but would be an asset to visit the many interesting areas close by, there is on street parking close by.
Public transport is first class in Salobreña with bus services to all of the local towns and villages as well as connections to Granada where there is transport to all parts of Spain.
